Raccolta delle olive nell'uliveto: i rami vengono abbacchiati sulle reti alla prima luce del mattino. Oleificio Fratelli Vieste

The Gargano adds its character.

We are not in charge of this land; nature is. The sun and wind of Gargano ripen the olives, the sea and forest mark the seasons. All that is left for us is to select the best and process them with care.

Our story

From 1957 to the present.

1957

A land inherited.

It all began with Grandpa Raffaele. He inherited a small plot of land in Vieste, planted olive trees, and started making oil. Our precious Aurea still comes from those very trees today.

1985

The oil mill is born.

It's the year everything changes. The lands and trees pass to the sons, Giacomo and Pasquale, who build the oil mill. From now on, we'll make the oil ourselves, and soon it will bear our surname.

2001

We open our doors.

We open the oil mill to those who wish to learn about, taste, and purchase our oil. The organic line is born, and with it, the habit of selecting only the best olives from Gargano.

2010

The one who left comes home.

Raffaele returns to Vieste after his studies and brings to the oil mill what was missing: a new perspective, the outside world, the words to tell our story. The family grows and the pace changes.

2025

We arrive in New York.

Our Aurea wins silver at the NYIOOC in New York. The year before, we had won gold with Cristalda e Pizzomunno. From Vieste, our oil travels all the way to the other side of the world.

The four of us

Fratelli Vieste, children of nature.

There are four of us, one family. Giacomo and Pasquale, sons of Grandpa Raffaele. Vincenzo and Raffaele, cousins, the sons of the sons. We do everything ourselves, from harvesting to labeling, with the same passion as always.

Everything happens in just one day.

We take the olives to the oil mill as soon as they are harvested and cold-press them within twenty-four hours. This way, the aromas and properties remain intact. And we don't throw anything away: even the pomace becomes renewable energy.

Our Awards

Awarded in Italy and worldwide.

Since 2020, our oils have been winning awards from Japan to the United States: Bibenda, Gambero Rosso, and the NYIOOC in New York. These accolades make us proud, because they speak of Gargano before they speak of us.
